Even before the official iPhone 5 or maybe, “The New iPhone” gets official; the famous Goophone for its iPhone knock-offs already has its iPhone 5 clone surfaced already in the name of Goophone I5.

Here comes the 4-inch quad-core entry that showcases impressive specs and will obviously leave other iPhone knock-offs far behind the competition. Let’s take a review of its specs after the jump.

A quick round-up of the Goophone i5’s specs highlights is as follows:

  • 4 inch IPS screen with 1280×720 pixels display resolution (Retina Display)
  • 1.4 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-Core CPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • Support 3G/WCDMA , quad-band
  • 8 megapixels main camera
  • Android 4.0 OS

Whoaah! That is some specs to boast about. Its a beast from within! Well, let’s check deeply its overall specs, features and all it has to offer for us.

The Goophone I5 is brought to us by Goophone, which is among one of the best Android iPhone clone manufacturers, if you can remember about the MT6577, dual-core Goophone Y6. The Goophone i5 or Goophone I5 is the iPhone 5 clone entry of Goophone which is I guess the first one for that.

The Goophone i5 sports a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip which is definitely a beast of speed and high definition gaming and multimedia experience. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS out of the box.

thin as well, yeah iPhone

The bar-style Android smartphone is slated with a 4 inches capacitive multi-touchscreen that is obviously bigger than the previous iPhone 4S so as to imitate the increased height of the real iPhone 5. While its also good to know that this one has an IPS with Retina Display screen, having 1280×720 pixels resolution at 16M colors. This assures a great pleasure to the eye as the viewing experience from this 4-inch screen is without a doubt expected to give users a very vivid, clear and crisp visual display.

It has a 1GB of RAM, however the ROM size isnt mentioned so we have no idea about that. If this one comes out with 8GB and 16GB internal storage capacity selections then this will be a hot sell. Just like most of the other Android phones, the i5 also supports an external SD storage expansion of up to 32GB with and micro/SDHC MMC.

This Goophone i5 is equipped with a better set of snappers. The main camera is an 8 megapixels shooter with flash and the secondary is a 1.3 megapixels snapper.

This iPhone 5 knock-off has quad-band support, with 3G/WCDMA. The phone is totally unlocked and is guaranteed to be compatible on all GSM carriers worldwide. It also has Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g, USB 2.0 and GPS/A-GPS (Built-in GPS chipset) as connectivity preferences. It has an FM Radio, which is not present on the original iPhone.

About the battery, the mAh rating of the Goophone i5 isnt mentioned on the listing so we do not have an idea about that. But if it goes along the numbers equal or above 2000mAh then its pretty much a worthy pick.

It seems like the era of quad-core Android smartphone is already in the air. With this one newly added to the roster list, it might take the hearts of Apple fans who’s into budget but desires to have an iPhone on their possessions. This is not a bad choice either, though I am passing on this one as I am not really and Apple fan-boy but the specs is undeniably supreme and impressive.
